How to Make Arm Wraps with CosBond

Exciting news: we’re building an Avatar: The Last Airbender cosplay! In this post, we’ll show you how to make custom arm wraps that are easy to put on and won’t slide off using CosBond Attach & Build. These wraps are perfect for our original genderbent Aang/airbender design.

Making Custom Arm Wraps with CosBond

  1. Start by cutting long strips of fabric for your wrap.

  2. Trace out enough Attach & Build to stick the shorter end of the strip to a zipper.

  3. Cut, peel, and stick the end of your wrap to the top side of your zipper. You want the edge of the strip to be right up against the metal part of the zipper but not over top of it.

  4. Wrap the strip around your arm and mark the fabric right before the place where it meets the zipper on the other side. Cut your wrap and then peel and stick it to the other side.

  5. Repeat this down the entire length of the zipper, making sure to overlap the fabric strips as you go.

  6. Do the same thing for the opposite arm for a matching pair of arm wraps. Your wraps will be incredibly easy to put on and take off with no fumes, no mess, and no dry time.
